Competitors
Do competitors register and pay on JJLA?
No. Competitors sign up and pay through the organiser's existing ticketing. The organiser adds you to the competition (or imports a list), and we list a “Register / get tickets” link to their page on the public competition listing. You create a free JJLA account to track your scores, season points and registrations.
How do I create a competitor account?
Use the competitor sign-up page — first and last name, email, home state and your usual role. An email lets an organiser match you to a registration they've added.
Where do I see my results and points?
In your account menu (top-right avatar): My Scores for results across every competition, My Registrations for upcoming and past entries, and your Competitor Dashboard for a season overview.
Can I compete as both a Leader and a Follower?
Yes — set your primary role on your profile, and within a tier you compete under one role per event. Standings are tracked separately per role.
Scoring & results
Which scoring methods are supported?
Yes/No, Yes/No/Callback, Numeric, Relative Placement (the Skating System / RPSS) and Sum of Ranks — chosen per phase or round by the owner. See the full Scoring Methods guide.
Are raw judging scores public?
No. Only the top placements per tier and role are published. Raw scores are private to you, the Competition Owner and Platform Admins.
How are season standings calculated?
Standings are placement-based — points come from where you place, never from raw scores — and are tracked per style, tier and role. See Standings.
Organisers
How do I run a competition on JJLA?
Apply via Become an organiser. Once approved you can create a competition (Details → Tiers → Review), set up phases, rounds and judges, and run scoring on the day.
Can judges score on their phones?
Yes — the judge console is mobile-first with large bib-first targets, auto-save and clear submission states, built for working live on the floor.
Can I reuse a setup for next season?
Yes — save any competition as a template, or load a template when creating a new one to prefill tiers, phases and rounds.
Can I invite co-organisers?
Yes — invite co-organisers per event with editor access scoped to that competition. See Co-Organisers.
Account & platform
Does it work in dark and light mode?
Every screen supports dark and light mode — handy for stage lighting. Each person sets their own preference.
How do I delete my account?
From Account Settings in your avatar menu. Your profile is removed; past competition placements stay anonymised on leaderboards as part of the official record.
How is my data handled?
See our Privacy Policy. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and never sell your information.
